Last Saturday, Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski triumphed in two European film festivals. It has won the Warsaw Grand Prix in the International Competition of the 29th Warsaw Film Festival and the Grand Prix of the London Film Festival. At WFF it also received the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. Earlier, Ida won the Golden Lion in Gdynia for the Best Polish Film and the FIPRESCI international critics' award at the festival in Toronto. Ida premieres in Poland on the 25th of October.

Lasting is a passionate story of an affair between Michał (Jakub Gierszał) and Karina (Magdalena Berus), who meet and fall in love while working in sunny Spain. The summer affair ends abruptly due to a dramatic incident, which will change the protagonists' lives forever. Joanna Kulig plays Karina's friend in the film.
Joanna Kulig has been featured in the American film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters directed by Tommy Wirkola. It is a fantasy retelling of the classic fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel, starring Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner. The story takes place fifteen years after the incident involving a certain witch and a gingerbread house. Hansel and Gretel are now bounty hunters specializing in tracking down witches. Joanna Kulig plays the Red-Haired Witch, the assistant of the Witch Leader played by Famke Janssen.
